Live for what is recorded in heaven. Care nothing for what is recorded on earth.”

Heritage Contest!

Wanted: Just like the judges in Artie’s contest, I’m looking for “interesting stories about your ancestors, why they are unique, and how you feel this has helped make you the person you are today.”

Although I’m not offering a savings bond like in Poor Is Just a Starting Place, I will feature a different essay every month on my website, and include your picture if that’s okay with your parents. Email your submission to me, and you just may see your writing posted for all to read!

Ideas: If you can’t remember any stories, do like Artie did—ask your grandparents and parents to tell you some family history. Your essay doesn’t have to be long. You may even just want to share one story from your heritage.
